Overview
You can cancel appointments directly through the Alma Client Portal or by using the link in your appointment emails.
| Note: The Alma Client Portal is not currently available to all clients. Once you are eligible to create an account, you will receive an email invitation. |
Cancel Through The Client Portal
To cancel:
- Log in to your Alma Client Portal.
- Go to Appointments.
- Select the appointment you want to cancel.
- Select Cancel appointment.
- A Secure Message window will open. Write a short message to your provider to confirm you’d like to cancel.
- Select Send. Your provider will receive your request.
Cancel From Your Appointment Emails
You’ll see a Cancel appointment link in your appointment emails.
When you select the Cancel appointment link, you’ll be directed to Secure Messaging to let your provider know you want to cancel. Since your providers cancellation policy will still apply, it is best to cancel at least 24 hours in advance when possible.
What Happens After You Cancel
Your provider reviews your message and applies their cancellation policy. If your provider charges a late-cancellation fee, it will still apply. If you want to reschedule, reach out to your provider through Secure Messaging.

Can I reschedule instead of canceling?
No. You can only cancel appointments. To reschedule, reach out to your provider.
Will I be charged if I cancel?
Your provider sets their own cancellation policy. Fees may apply if you cancel too close to your appointment.
