View the following list of Alma's participating insurance plans to see if you can use your benefits when seeing an Alma provider.

Aetna
Alma participates with the following Aetna plans:

Aetna plans that are not included:
- Aetna CVS
- Aetna Medicare and Medicaid
- AmeriBen

- Piedmont/S&S Healthcare
- WebTPA.
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS)
Alma participates with Anthem BCBS plans in:
- Colorado
- Connecticut
- Indiana
- Kentucky
- Maine
- Missouri
- Nevada
- New York
- New Hampshire
- Ohio
- Virginia
- Wisconsin
If you are insured in one of the states above, you may be able to use your PPO with extended benefits as long as you are physically in the same state where your provider is credentialed during your session. E.g., if you have Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Connecticut, you can see a provider that is credentialed in Maine if you are in Maine for your session.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts
If you have a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts plan:
- In Massachusetts: Your insurance benefits apply to both in-person and virtual visits with in-network Alma providers.
- Outside Massachusetts: Your benefits only apply to virtual Alma sessions with in-network providers. For in-person care, you’ll need an Alma provider licensed and credentialed with BCBS of Massachusetts in the state where you receive care.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX)
If you have a BCBSTX plan,
- You must be located in Texas to access services from a BCBSTX credentialed provider at Alma.
Carelon
Alma participates with the following Carelon plans:
- Carelon Behavioral Health, Inc.
- Sutter Health Plan
Carelon plans that are not included:
- Emblem
- NYSHIP
- Wellsense
- Unicare / Wellpoint.
- Humana
Carelon Mental Health Benefits
Some BCBS plans, including Kaiser Permanente and Anthem BCBS state plans, manage mental health benefits through Carelon Behavioral Health, Inc. Even if your BCBS plan isn't listed as participating with Alma, check the back of your insurance card for Carelon. If it's there, you may be able to use those benefits for Alma sessions. Submit your insurance details to your Alma provider for verification.
Cigna

Point32 Health (Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts)
Point32Health is a regional insurer formed from the merger between Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan, two of Massachusetts’s largest health plans.
Alma participates with both Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts Health Plans.
| Note: Credentialing with Point32 Health was previously offered as a limited-time opportunity for a select number of providers to support continuation of care for providers and clients who were previously under Harvard Pilgrim. We have never opened credentialing opportunities for more providers and currently do not offer this. |
Ineligible Insurance Plans
Alma does not accept:
- Medicare or Medicaid plans
- State or community plans (E.g, NYSHIP, 1199SEIU)
